Which types of lubrication are generally used for compressors?

According to the characteristics of the compressor structure, different ways can be used for lubrication, there are the following situations:

1. Pressure Lubrication Method - The use of mechanical (such as oil pumps, oiler) automatically lubricates the lubricated parts of the lubricated oil, also called pressure lubrication method. This method is used in large and medium crosshead compressors.

2. Splash Lubrication Method - The oil is thrown from the oil rod installed on the connecting rod and splashed to the lubricated parts. Therefore, the cylinder and the moving mechanism can only use the same kind of lubricant. This method is mostly used in small compressors without a crosshead. The disadvantage is that the oil is not filtered and the oil level must be strictly controlled.

3. Inject into the lubrication method - the injected oil mist follows the gas into the cylinder and other lubrication points, such as ultra-high pressure compressors, vane compressors and screw compressors are used injection lubrication.

4. Dripping Lubricating Method - Using oil cups, and oil pipelines, send the oil to the parts that should be filled, or fill the oil in the oil pot on time.

5. Oil Ring Lubrication Method - A rotating shaft is used to drive an oil ring which is sleeved on the shaft. The oil ring brings the oil in the oil pool into the bearing and enters the circulation lubrication.
