British local government rectifies its closed-circuit television monitoring network

The North East Lincolnshire County Council of the United Kingdom is about to overhaul CCTV surveillance facilities and select Bosch Security Systems’ powerful MIC series PTZ cameras as its core to build its new surveillance network.

The parliament’s existing PTZ cameras have been operating for more than 16 years and will soon be scrapped. After consulting, the council decided to launch a plan to replace the existing equipment one by one with the Bosch MIC Series cameras. So far, three MIC400 series cameras have been installed in the Grimsby town center, and the new Bosch MIC500 series will also replace Spring's existing nine other cameras.

In addition to the new cameras, the Parliament also linked the Grimsby police station directly to the new digital recording system. If the police requested evidence to support the conviction, images from each camera could be quickly extracted; the process that previously took several hours now only takes a few seconds. Can be completed. The quality of the images captured by the MIC series cameras has made it faster and easier to identify criminals and is therefore more useful to the police.

The replacement plan was jointly funded by the Parliament and Balfour Beatty workplace partners. As a spokesperson explained, “In Lincolnshire, northeast, we have 147 cameras in use. We used a total of 161 cameras to monitor the entire township. The reliability and robustness of the Bosch MIC Series cameras are better than those of other adversaries, ensuring little or no maintenance. We will first install nine cameras of this series. They are easy to install and reduce the time required to install and debug cameras. Cost: Since we installed three cameras, we have not yet received any fault reports."

Cameras are installed in places such as Grimsby town centre, Freeman Street and Cleethorpes. Waltham has seven cameras that are used by the Parish Parliament. There is an option in the project to allow these cameras to connect to the Northeast Lincoln County Council system. The council also plans to install three more cameras in the town centre of Immingham.

Since April of last year, the camera has recorded a total of 440 accidents, including 143 attacks, 150 thefts and 27 acts of vandalism, of which 184 were reviewed by the police. Improved image quality and easy access to video clips are expected to greatly increase conviction rates.
