Developed by China Railway Bridge Bureau, China's largest cable crane with a weight of 420 tons has been successfully hoisted at the construction site of Chongqing Caiyuanba Yangtze River Bridge.
The main bridge of Chongqing Caiyuanba Yangtze River Bridge adopts v-structured steel arch bridge with a main span of 420 meters. Both sides of the main span have 102 meters and 88 meters on both sides, forming a five-span continuous steel truss. After in-depth study by bridge experts at home and abroad, it is believed that the cable crane frame proposed by China Railway Bridge Bureau has the most reliable and economical solution for the main bridge steel box arch and steel truss girder. The cable hoist is a crane that erects a tower at both ends, the cable is pulled on the tower, and the crane hoists and walks on the cable. It is suitable for bridge construction across rivers and valleys. However, the development of a cable crane with a height of 202 meters, a span of 420 meters and a hoisting weight of 420 tons has no precedent in China, and has not been recorded internationally.
