Recently, Dalian Bureau of Quality Supervision styrene foam plastics to conduct random checks and get 88.2% pass rate. The main items examined were apparent density, compressive strength, oxygen index, water absorption and thermal conductivity. Unqualified items are water absorption and oxygen index. The Dalian Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision conducted a spot check on 17 batches of products from 17 companies producing molded polystyrene foam for thermal insulation. After testing, 15 batches were qualified. The standard compliance rate of polystyrene foam is 88.2%.
The Dalian Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau stated that in response to the quality problems reflected in the spot check of the current period, the person in charge of the unqualified enterprises will be interviewed, and the enterprise will be required according to the "Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China" and "Administrative Measures for Product Quality Supervision and Inspection". Rectify within a time limit and deal with it according to law.
It is reported that this spot check is based on the standard: GB/T10801.1-2002 "molding polystyrene foam for thermal insulation" standard. There are 2 unqualified, the main reasons for the failure are: the production company failed to strictly control the purchase of raw materials due to poor management; the necessary factory inspection was not carried out.
