The 100m2 new red mud rotary drum filter developed and designed by China Aluminum Shandong Branch Hengcheng Machinery Manufacturing Factory has successfully passed the technical appraisal of the expert group of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association in Beijing. The results of the appraisal show that the technical performance of the product has reached the international advanced level, filling the gap in domestic large-scale, automated filter equipment.
The 100m2 new red mud rotary drum filter is a key technology project of China Aluminum Corporation. The newly developed filter has a more reasonable structure and a more advanced index than other filters of the same type in the world. It has the advantages of low cake volume, high output, low energy consumption, convenient maintenance and cleaning. In June 2008, the first 100m2 new red mud rotary drum filter was officially put into operation at the alumina plant of Chinalco Shandong Branch. The results show that the equipment's comprehensive performance has reached the international advanced level of similar equipment and has significant economic benefits. At the same time, it also marks the Hengcheng Machinery Factory's filtration equipment design and manufacturing to reach the international advanced level.
