ZhongLan ZhongZhou Branch Company Adds Mineral Thickening and Dissolution Technology to Improve Efficiency by Ten Million Yuan

As a typical project of energy conservation and emission reduction, the post-adding mine thickening and dissolving technology has been effective since it was put into use in China Aluminum Corporation's Zhongzhou Branch in September 2006. It can increase the production of alumina by more than 10,000 tons per month for the Zhongzhou Branch, creating economic benefits. More than a thousand million. At the same time, the successful industrialization of the project has enabled the Zhongzhou branch to become the world’s “production of alumina using two ore resources on a production line” to avoid the shortage of bauxite resources for the alumina industry in China and make full use of foreign bauxite. Resources have been vigorously explored.

In October 2005, the Zhongzhou branch was approved as the only alumina producer for the first batch of national circular economy pilot projects. In order to do a good job in pilot projects, the Zhongzhou Branch Company, after relying on China Aluminum Corporation’s proprietary high-tech sintering technology and Bayer process, has implemented the Bayer Process, which has been independently implemented, and has successfully implemented the Bayer process for enrichment. The new process uses existing flash distillers of high-temperature and high-pressure leaching of diaspore (distilled waste heat) to join the imported gibbsite for dissolution, increasing unit production capacity and reducing consumption, and actively creating resource-saving companies .

On September 30, 2006, Zhongyin Branch's Bayer Process Post-Adding Mineral Thickening Dissolution Project was completed successfully. However, due to the large gap between the quality of the ore entering the plant and the design value, the unit consumption of the ore increased more. Under such circumstances, the Zhongzhou Branch Company has been doing a good job in the quality and grade of imported bauxite on the one hand, and on the other hand, it has actively carried out process research and technical training for the staff in the post so that the operating skills of the operators have been continuously improved, and the indicators have apparently optimized. The cost is also reduced.

Through several months of operation and constant exploration, the unit has been operating stably. Compared with before the commissioning, the decomposition rate has increased by 3% to 3.5%, thus making it possible to produce 2,156 tons of alumina per month; at the same time, the cycle efficiency is improved and dissolved. The continuous optimization of technical parameters such as red mud A/S and N/S has reduced the energy consumption of the entire Bayer process production line of the Zhongzhou branch from 522.01 kilograms of standard coal per year in 2006 to 459 kilograms in the first quarter of 2007. Coal/ton alumina, a reduction of 12.07%.

At present, the post-adding mine thickening dissolution project of the Zhongzhou Branch Company operates stably. In the first quarter of this year alone, the system produced a total of 35,000 tons of alumina and achieved an economical profit of 4412.45 million yuan, equivalent to an annual economic benefit of 176.5 million yuan.
